ifilm English to start airing ‘The Detour’

Iranian series ‘The Detour’ has been scheduled to go on ifilm English Channel’s playlist.

Airing of the series, produced by Mohammad Hashemi-Asl and directed by Behrang Tofiqi, will start on November 8, 2018.

In ‘The Detour’, a scientist who lives in a faraway island wants to abduct a number of Iranian intellectuals to try some of his experiments on them.

Trying to manipulate the navigation system of an airplane carrying the intellectuals, he manipulates another plane by mistake. Now he has to take care of a bunch of odd people with unusual behaviors.

Among the cast list are Nima Fallah, Sepand Amir-Soleymani, Shaqayeq Dehqan, Pouriya Poursorkh, Majid Vasheqani, Behnoush Bakhtiyari, Amir-Hossein Rostami, Parastou Golestani, Akram Mohammadi, Sahar Valadbeigi, Saed Hedayati, Nader Soleymani, Ali Kazemi, Mohammad Shiri, and Farzad Hassani.

‘The Detour’, produced in 2011 is to replace the series ‘The Last Invitation’, to be broadcast at 20:00 GMT.

ifilm English will also repeat each episode of the series the following day at 01:00, 07:00 and 12:00. ‘The Detour’ is comprised of 14 segments.
